With Grain Management's focus on objective, timely and accurate market information,we are developing a database application that contains all the necessary statistics to make reliable hedging and/or speculative decisions. This is surely a first for South Africa, and most probably a first in the world, since it combines statistics from various sources, both local and international. Coupled with the fact that the internet has grown to such an extent in accessibility and popularity, we have designed the application in such a way to make the database available to our clients through the internet environment. And most of all, users can create graphs, tables and even export the data, only with a few clicks of a mouse button. |

* Prices of futures contracts on Safex, Kansas, CBOT and Buenos Aires (including historic data).
* Prices of option contracts on Safex. * Area and production estimates of all major grain producing countries in the world. For South Africa, statistics are available on a provincial basis including the various estimates throughout the season. * Consumption, exports, ending stocks, etc. for various countries for various years. * Latest sea temperatures and Southern Oscillation Index. * Rainfall figures from various stations in South Africa. These statistics are available on a monthly basis * Handling and storage cost for the different Co-op's for different seasons. * Economic indicators, both local and international. We believe this product will aid you and/or your organization in the decision making process. |
